RaSahra
fell in love with Middle Eastern dance at the 1998 belly dance festival
in Liberty Park. "Everyone I saw that day looked beautiful, and
seemed to KNOW that they were beautiful, even though they were of all
different shapes and sizes." Since then, she has danced in Logan,
learning from various visiting and local teachers, as well as her fellow
Shazadi troupe members. She dances for the social aspects, the independent
confidence and poise, and the sensuality that Middle Eastern dance embodies.
While not dancing, RaSahra is either doing research on big rivers in
redrock country, hiking, or telemark skiing.
