Sadeema
didn't know anything about Middle Eastern style dancing until she moved
to Logan, UT from San Jose, CA. She had become friends with someone
who was involved in performing with the troupe at Utah State. She decided
to check it out after her husband gave her an account of how beautiful
and mesmerizing a dance he saw her friend perform was and she fell in
love right away. "I had always wanted to be a dancer and knew that
I had found my niche." Because of her natural ability and grace
she was chosen to become a performing troupe member within the first
year of studying Middle Eastern dance. That was in 1999. She has been
performing with the Shazadi Troupe ever since. "This group of girls
is awesome and we mesh together very well while still managing to be
so wonderfully diverse." When Sadeema is not dancing, you can find
her avidly pursuing Aikido. She also loves to read, make costumes, and
collect recipes. Sadeema and her husband live with their 2 cats, Anubis
and Amenhotep, on the cozy southwest side of Logan, UT.
